How it works

How to get a buy-to-let mortgage, step by step

We are with you every step of the way, from the first conversation to completion, and beyond.

The journey

Six steps

  1. Book an appointment

Tell us about yourself, the property and what you want to achieve. Book online at a time that suits you, or call the office.

  2. We look at your options

We research lenders whose criteria fit your circumstances and the property, and explain any costs up front.

  3. Our recommendation

We explain what we recommend and why, with the pros and cons, so you can make an informed decision.

  4. Application

We prepare and submit your application, and deal with the lender, valuer and your solicitor on your behalf.

  5. Offer and completion

We keep you updated until the mortgage offer is issued and your purchase or remortgage completes.

  6. We stay in touch

We contact you ahead of your product end date, typically around seven months before, to review what comes next.
